New Orleans...as a tourist
My friend's daughter has been begging me to take her down to the french quarter to get some New Orleans style photography. I'm really glad that we went today! It's kind of fun to be a tourist in your own town. I guess that's kind of like what being stationed at all these cool places really is...just an extended vacation.
Anyhow...I hope you enjoy the photos :)

Marine Corps Band - Toys for Tots, New Orleans
I almost forgot to blog about this :-O These photos are from Simon's concert with the Marine Forces Reserve Band New Orleans. It was truly a wonderful performance filled with awesome music! The kids loved the show, too! Don't miss this next year!!
Oh...first let me show you our little tree. Not big...we have a tiny living room...but I still love it :).
Before we left for the concert, I made the kids pose for some photos because they were dressed so cute! I can't believe Andrew actually went along with the matching shirts. I doubt I'll get away with this next year so I had to have the photos for proof :). He did protest smiling because all his friends at the park were watching him!
This is my favorite shot....it's SO them!

I'm pretty far behind on keeping the blog updated. So this may be a little overload, but I wanted to make sure and share anyways.

Good friends...
It's time again to say goodbye to some of our great neighbors and friends. I first met Nikki last year when her husband was deployed. It was nice getting to spend so many days with her and watch the kids play together. I got to watch her little boy grow from a little baby to a curious toddler. Hannah is going to miss Destiny so much. They have a friendship that reminds me of sisters....sometimes they play really well & other times they fuss :). Anyhow...as sad as it is to say bye, I know they have some great times to look forward to at their new duty station. We wish you all the best! Much love :)
