We're Home...

We made it back to New Orleans on Monday and into our home on Tuesday. We didn't have any damage, but we did loose power for a long time. We all thought of the evacuation like a mini vacation. The kids had a fun in Ft. Worth and Natchitoches. I've already shared the photos of our room in Ft. Worth, but I've got so much more to show share :)

I'm still catching up on photos, and I wanted to thank you for your patience! Feel free to call or email me to check up on anything.

Here's a view of a little of the wind damage we saw...

A view of our neighborhood....mostly just small trees down and limbs...

What's there to do in Natchitoches, LA? Go fishing :)

The downtown area was really cute...

Can you see everyone on the dock?

Harley relaxing while everyone else was fishing...

A few shots just for fun!

This is going to be an art print on my wall soon...

There's a new sheriff in this here town :)

Pop with the kiddos...

My baby's curls...

Two bottom teeth gone...now look what he can do :)

We've evacuated!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've made it safe and sound to Ft. Worth. We evacuated on Saturday. We meet with Simon's unit on the Algier's base at 6am and got on the road around 6:45am. It was a long 13 hour trip, but thankfully we got out before the bulk of the traffic.

The kids were excited to be heading to Texas. Yes, Hannah choose her fancy pink dress to evacuate in. What else would you expect from her? :)

This is what the local news was forecasting as we were leaving. I can't even begin to tell you how anxious we were to get out of there!

From Simon's work...we had the van loaded down. I wonder if we should have brought more?

A few views from the road...

This is the I-310 bridge over the Mississippi...

The merge on to the I-10W from the 310...the thinkest of the traffic that we encountered...

Away from danger and a lot of thinking to do...

We all made it to the hotel in Ft. Worth...

A view of our hotel room...
I hope all my friends/clients in New Orleans are now safe and away from the city. I'd love for you to email me and let me know so I can have one less concern :).

Keep us and everyone else in your prayers!

Cute Cousins...

I always tell my moms that I'll be posting a preview on the same day as their session, but when I get kids that are this stinkin' cute, it's hard to pick my favorites! I guess should try since I know you guys are looking forward to this :)

Here's the two cousins together....Seriously can it get any cuter? Red hair, freckles, happy faces...I just love it!
Okay...so another favorite :) These little one is just over a year old and is full of energy. The wobbly steps are too cute to not capture!

Check out these eyes? What a handsome little man!

After some more traditional shots, the kiddos had fun splashing in the pool.

And after a long session, we managed to wear the little sweetie out. Love this image with Mom!

Thanks for the fun session today...what a sweet little baby you have! I'm looking forward to showing you the rest of the images soon!

More studio & a new prop...

Just sharing some fun photos of my friend's boys. I set up this morning in her living room...a little cramped, but worked okay. The kids had fun playing with the blocks and pushing over the new fence prop....i'll have to attach the base before the preschool photos coming up :).

This blue is going to be the background for the preschool photos coming up next month! I think it's going to be really fun and colorful!

Of course...I have to have a picture of one of my kiddos :) Too bad Andrew couldn't get in on the shoot because he was at school.

Keep in mind that this is the a typical setup that can be done for a portrait party. If your interested in earning free portraits for your walls...ask me how!

Andrew's First Day Of School!

Andrew started his first day of 1st grade yesterday! He was so excited and had a fun day! Today he rode the bus and is having his first full day of school. Hannah and I are really missing him being around the house. Here's some of the shots of him before school yesterday.

Being a big boy putting his shoes on...

socks first...
Hannah was pouting because she didn't want him to go. What a sweet bye, bye kiss...

The mug shot...

He wanted to show off his cool new backpack...it's mesh & camouflage!

A sweet portrait of my big boy...Look how excited he was!

Showing off his missing tooth...and one about to fall out!!
